Introducing vagejs 0.1

vagejs 0.1 is now on npm. Point it at a folder of text files and you get a fast website back, with the fiddly details handled for you: a sitemap that matches your real pages, a summary on every page, structured data, an llms.txt guide for AI tools, and no broken links.

terminal
npm create vagejs@latest my-site

Built for working with AI assistants

A lot of websites are now built with an AI coding assistant doing much of the typing. We wanted a tool those assistants could use without guessing, so every project comes with an AGENTS.md instructions file, vage info --json describes every command and setting, and the checks point to the exact file that needs fixing.

Careful by default

Anything risky pasted into a page is cleaned out before it's published. Before anything goes live, vagejs shows you its plan and waits for a yes. It won't upload password files or overwrite someone else's work, and your API keys never leave your own user folder.

What's next

Next on our list: support for sites that live in a subfolder, Netlify and Vercel publishing, multi-language sites, and an MCP server. The code is on GitHub, and the docs walk through everything in this release. We'd love to hear what you build.

Start with one command.
You'll have a site running in a minute.
